About Me

Karena Chazin

For as long as I can remember, food has taken up more of my brain space than I’d care to admit. It used to feel like a flaw or an obsession — something I needed to change about myself. Over time, my relationship with food noise evolved. I no longer see it as a problem to fix, but a gift I get to shape.

Second Bite is where I put that gift to work — through stories, through meals, and through the questions that keep me coming back for more.

These days, I eat to fuel my lifts as a competitive Strongwoman. But I also eat to feed my curiosity, my tastebuds, and my hunger to understand why certain dishes stay with us long after we’ve finished eating. I chase flavor the same way I chase a new personal best.

This isn’t about indulgence or control. It’s about paying attention — to the flavor, the craft, the feeling behind each bite. Slow down. Tune in. Sometimes it’s not the first bite that stays with you. It’s the second.
